Let the planning begin!

Since two people now have told us that we are having a girl I have decided to actually trust them (shocking!) and we have moved forward with girl planning in the house. No name discussions but hopefully this one will have a name before the delivery for a change of pace:) After driving all around the city yesterday picking up a gazillion fabric swatches and desperately missing my fabric store in Oklahoma City I found myself feeling somewhat defeated. I did not find a single fabric that I loved:( I found a few that I really liked but they were blue and according to my better half a girls room should not be blue (boo to stereotypes I say!!) I was looking for something that said girl but not baby, I am a chick with a lot of sass, something with a hint of modern, something that could grow with her, and nothing frilly. My dream list could probably go on and on. I decided to push on today and stumbled upon a fabric that I decided fits the bill.... to my own shock it is pink! I am not really a pink kind of girl but this fabric seems fun and I think that we will like it. Now it is time to get to sewing! At least I have a few months to complete the projects:)

Stock Show Saturday!

It is Stock Show season in the mile high city and we decided that Adrian needed to get some quality culture in this morning:) We had a great time!

A little bit of catch up...

I am way behind on posting pics so here is my attempt on a snowy day in Denver to play a little bit of catch up. It is a great Sunday when all that we have done is church, some major napping for Adrian and I and sledding before heading home for some chili.

I don't think that this was Great Grandma's vision when she made the Christmas stockings but he had so much fun wearing the huge socks with jingle bells.... how can you say no?!

Adrian's favorite place (along with all of his cousins) is the game room at Mimi and Papa's house.... especially on top of the pool table with all of the balls rolling everywhere. Too bad the big boys would occasionally pull him off when they wanted to actually play a game.

Aloha! Part II

Adrian LOVED playing at this beach:) It was perfect for kiddos with a reef way far out so the waves just brushed up against him.... plus great sand to eat...errr....play with that is;)

All of the beautiful cinder cones and you could even see some of the other islands. elevation 10,023. Supposedly the steepest windiest road is the one that leads to this summit.... and I believe it!
