My "Cool Dad"!

My dad was selected to be featured in an Oklahoma City magazine as a "cool dad" thanks to my sisters submission. We have always known that our dad was a great father but it is nice having others see how great he is as a role model and parent of 3 girls! ... and Papa to 7 grandkids;)

Mimi and Papa visit to meet Lorelei

My mom came into town last week to help out with the transition of being a family of 4 and my dad drove up in the middle of the week to join the party. They were both a ton of help and we enjoyed the company to boot:)

You know that you have made it into the family when your name gets carved into the blocks by Papa;) Congrats Lorelei! ....and we only checked his spelling of the name about 6 times;)

Brother/Sister comparison

Although Lorelei does not have her newborn photos until next week I thought that I would give it a try after church today. I actually surprised myself with a few decent shots (the editing is still a work in progress to remove her jaundice "tan") and how much she looks like Adrian. See below for the comparison....and yes.... Lorelei is the one with the pink background... not Adrian;)

FOUR Sooners living high in the clouds

We just made it home with our sweet new family addition.... Lorelei Elaine. She arrived on Monday via c-section weighing in at 8 pounds 3 ounces (the exact same weight as big brother Adrian) and was 19 inches long.

Here I am waiting with Leo to get pulled back to the OR.... cool, calm and collected.... wait no... that was Leo.... I was pretty much the opposite:)

Adrian was not all that excited to meet his little sister:(

He was much better with Leo... I think that he is saying "Dad... we gotta stick together.... these chicks looks like they are plotting against us!"

Leo gave me a break and took a snooze with Lorelei....

Adrian was in much better spirits on his hospital visit #2! I don't think that it hurt that Lorelei looked like a glow worm in her jaundice light blanket;) I was just happy to see my little man smile.

And no life event of bringing a baby home would ever be complete without bringing out our oh-so-classy inflatable stork:) Gotta love it!! Now we are just easing into being the parents of 2 awesome kiddos and so thankful for everything that God has blessed us with. Thank you everyone for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers over the past few days! We could not do any of this without the love and support of our family and friends:)

The Final Countdown

It is less than 24 hours until our little lady arrives and we had a great day today having fun with our little man. Adrian had his first experience with feeding ducks....well... geese. He thought that it was so neat but he was a little more bold with his feeding style than I would have liked with geese

He just did not get the whole "toss the bread on the ground" concept. He preferred the "I want the hissing geese to eat from my hand" method. You can tell from the look on my face that this is not my preferred method of feeding;) Adrian was not fazed at all....

Front Yard Fun

Adrian's world gets rocked on Monday with the addition of a new sibling to share his parents with so we are trying to hang low and enjoy our last days of parents of one adorable little boy:)
