Its fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A!

This weekend we went up to the YMCA of the Rockies at Estes Park for a little snow getaway. ...and boy was there plenty of snow! They have tons of activies there and NO TV.... we will definintely be back for a repeat visit.
Too bad that the little mans feet weren't big enough for ice skates but I think that walking on the frozen pond was right up his alley

But he didn't mind sitting on the ice either.... that ice is slick!

Snow shoeing in Rocky Mountain National Park. The ranger said it was "extreme conditions" but Adrian really wanted to go;) In all actuallity this was not the A man's fav activity of the weekend but it was peaceful... although cold.

Adrian's day care romance

Every day when I drop Adrian off at school it is pretty non-eventful because we are the first ones there. Then, last week, I finally witnessed the greeting by Adrian's best bud Charlie that Leo had been talking about. Leo had always come home asking about Charlie and I did not really quite get it. Then, after my late drop off last week, I understood. When we drop off Adrian a bit later in the morning Charlie is already there. When Charlie sees Adrian she drops what she is doing and speed walks toddler style to Adrian and gives him a big hug... sometimes there are even baby kisses involved. Adrian is pretty much not phased by this. I think that he knows that he has to get used to the ladies being all over his charm and good looks;)

Despite the belief (of Gretchen) that my new iPhone is evil, it did take some pretty good footage of Adrian this weekend back in Lawton. He was getting to know his farm machinery with grandpa.

Roxborough State Park outing

This morning we took advantage of a break in the cruddy cold weather that we have all been having to go hiking in Roxborough State Park. It was a beautiful morning for a hike and the rock formations were gorgeous covered with snow!

Adrian is always glad to ride with daddy!

...but even more fun to eat!!

After the hike we stopped by the visitor center and there was a sun dial outside. Leo looked at it and said, "It is 12:05" Here is the proof from my watch that Leo has earned his sun dial time telling badge for the day:)
