Adios Nuggets:(

Last night we had people over for Margarita Friday and to cheer on the Nuggets to victory over the Lakers but not everything goes as planned I guess. However Jeremy's margaritas were a HIT and the recipe has been requested to post so here it is....

3 parts Tequila... Which explains why we went through almost a handle of tequila;)
2 parts lime juice
1 part triple sec
1 part simple syrup

Very tasty but very lethal....just the way we like 'em;)

Some of you may recall our visit back home last Thanksgiving where we met our lovely future Christmas ham '09. In case you do not recall the little fella here he is back in the day looking oh so cute.......and here he is last night looking oh so tasty! I am sure that with a freezer full of family raised pork it will now become a household favorite at dinner time. A big thanks to Leo's parents for fattening up the little guy for us... the next time you visit you can guess what will be served;)

Bolder Boulder Race Day

Today I celebrated Memorial Day by running the Bolder Boulder 10K with my girlfriend Roxi while Leo was holding down the Denver fort for ocular emergencies while being on call over the holiday. The race was hands down the largest racing event that I have ever taken part in....it was staggered starts from 7am to 9:30 and all heats were FULL. But it was a great race with tons of entertainment and was full of the general oddities that Boulder offers...belly dancers, funky bands, and some questionable dancing displays. Plus we finished by running a final lap in Folsom Field Stadium on the CU campus....we felt like rock stars;)

Special Delivery

Under the guise our anniversary celebration and positive proof that it pays to be the baby of the family (Sorry Laura and Missy) baby leonette/leo (just kidding) received their first package in the mail from some very excited grandparents-to-be. We cannot wait to go strolling to the park in our fancy new digs...especially after we add some color to it with the bassinet cover;) And just to show you that it actually did come in the mail and a few of its tricks. Thanks again... we absolutely LoVe it!!

We're BaaaaAAck

After a long day of travel we arrived back home safe and sound early this morning from our travels in our ancestral homeland of Deutschland for my belated 3-0 celebration. We had a great time driving down the romantic road, trying all the beer houses of Munich, seeing castles float by on the Rhine and tasting all of the wine, and relaxing in the Alps of Bavaria. We took TONS of pictures but right now you are getting the jet lagged version of trip blogging...my apologies

We went on a small hike through the riesling vineyards of the Rhine region...and yes....coming back home my suitcase was by far and majority riesling, not clothes;) The clothes were simply a wine packing tool.

This meal in Munich shows what we have been eating for the past 10 days....meat, meat and more meat...with a bit of potatoes and sauerkraut on the side.Pretty much my most favorite window display ever...any guesses why or what new addition we have to the front yard?

And the reason why at every beer hall Leo would order his oh-so-tasty looking beer and the waitress would look at me and ask "What beer for the lady?" My response "Oh, nein...schwanger"

That is right ladies and gents...we are expecting our first family addition on the 19th of November! Leo says that I get a trip to Germany for my 30th birthday and a super pack of pampers for my 31st;)
