Mile High Weekend

Since we are already under contract for a house in Denver and we already had plane tickets (originally planned to use for a house hunting trip) we got to have a fun weekend in Denver for the past few days. We took advantage of being in our new city and lived it up for Leo's last weekend before starting the ICU. We accomplished alot inlcuding....

A tour of Coor's brewery in Golden, CO. After the tour we decided to spice up our post tour drinking with a beer tasting challenge. I challenged Leo with Coors Original and he challenged me with Zima...Zima Citrus that is. Just the smell of it and I started cracking up with the vision of Leo ordering a zima and asking if they by any chance had a jolly rancher.

The nba playoffs game of the Lakers vs. the Nuggets....can you guess what they were giving away at the game? Sadly the Nugs lost but it was a good game and the half time show was a classic...old school rap and breakdancing with the Sugar Hill Gang! Trust me...it was great!
We finished the weekend off relaxing, shopping and people watching on Pearl Street in Boulder. There were tons of "street people" that included a juggling unicyclist (sorry Missy, you have competition), didgeridoo players, a traveling sing along, and a group of interpretive dancers that were really beyond words;)
But now it is back to OKC for the last few days at our home before the ICU hits....we are accepting all moving help from all ready and willing bodies in the area:) As a side note this is the week of APMs wedding which I have been looking forward to celebrating for a very long time!! It is also the climax of track season in OK and it will be the first time for Will to run at the state track meet in the 3200 and for Hillarie to defend her long running best time in the 1600 at regionals. Go get 'em guys!
