FOUR Sooners living high in the clouds

We just made it home with our sweet new family addition.... Lorelei Elaine. She arrived on Monday via c-section weighing in at 8 pounds 3 ounces (the exact same weight as big brother Adrian) and was 19 inches long.

Here I am waiting with Leo to get pulled back to the OR.... cool, calm and collected.... wait no... that was Leo.... I was pretty much the opposite:)

He was much better with Leo... I think that he is saying "Dad... we gotta stick together.... these chicks looks like they are plotting against us!"

Adrian was in much better spirits on his hospital visit #2! I don't think that it hurt that Lorelei looked like a glow worm in her jaundice light blanket;) I was just happy to see my little man smile.

And no life event of bringing a baby home would ever be complete without bringing out our oh-so-classy inflatable stork:) Gotta love it!! Now we are just easing into being the parents of 2 awesome kiddos and so thankful for everything that God has blessed us with. Thank you everyone for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers over the past few days! We could not do any of this without the love and support of our family and friends:)

The Final Countdown

It is less than 24 hours until our little lady arrives and we had a great day today having fun with our little man. Adrian had his first experience with feeding ducks....well... geese. He thought that it was so neat but he was a little more bold with his feeding style than I would have liked with geese

He just did not get the whole "toss the bread on the ground" concept. He preferred the "I want the hissing geese to eat from my hand" method. You can tell from the look on my face that this is not my preferred method of feeding;) Adrian was not fazed at all....

Front Yard Fun

Adrian's world gets rocked on Monday with the addition of a new sibling to share his parents with so we are trying to hang low and enjoy our last days of parents of one adorable little boy:)

Springtime fun

Spring is finally starting to arrive in Denver, which for me means that my tulips are in bloom and that we probably have one more surprise snow storm in the future. Here is the latest addition to my small tulip extravaganza that we planted last fall outside of the front yard picket fence

Coloring easter eggs at Mimi and Papas house with the other cousins... Adrian's favorite thing to do with the finished eggs was to either find them on a hunt or bang them together to an egg mess.... he is all boy;)
Easter morning having a moment of reflection on the importance of the day.... or rolling balls on the pool table.... either way he looked pretty darn cute to me!

He missed seeing the Easter bunny so we thought that Papa's flying jackalope would fit the bill:)

Springtime Saturday

It is a gorgeous Denver Spring day so we took advantage and went over to Washington Park for a leisure morning. We started things off at a super yummy new breakfast place that specializes in locally produced food called The Local. Everyone at our table got clean plate awards:) Then we headed over to the park for a walk, jog, and some playground fun....

Rockin' away his stress from the week.... The ducks and geese were a little too fast to catch (thankfully) so he decided to take a seat and watch them for a bit. Next time we have to remember to bring some bread. It is true that Adrian does not have much hair but the other day I realized, after Leo making mention of a mullet, that Adrian's hair could fit into a pretty sweet rat tail! We are bringing the 80s back I guess.... or it is time for his first haircut!

Too bad for him we decided against continuing the 80s trend.

Saying that it was a bit traumatic is putting it mildly:)

Adrian and Leo normally get in some man time upstairs before bedtime.... brushing teeth, feeding the fish, reading books and saying prayers before getting all tucked in for the night.

It is a sight that makes my heart melt:)

I love my men.... both big and small!

Springtime outside fun

Adrian's vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds and two of his fav words that go hand in hand are "jack-ee" and "ou-side". This toddler loves some good outside time on pretty days that thankfully are coming more frequently with the arrival of spring:)

He loves a good slide!! He really likes going down head first... I guess that is one of the reasons why he has earned the nickname Evel Knievel at day care!

Contemplating his hard day before taking in a little slide action in the front yard.... and yes... we are now "those people" that have a huge hunk of plastic in our front yard. It is a necessary evil to entertain Adrian while I will most likely soon be preoccupied when our little homegirl arrives.
